Berlin, September 02, 2006 October 07, 2006
Galerie Nordenhake is pleased to present a solo show with new works by the German artist Franka Hörnschemeyer. The artists main subject is space- and by addressing the viewer's relation to unperceived aspects of space and by her very unique method of using building material she confronts us with a new spatial experience, challenging our understanding of architecture. The artist's definition of space is not a traditional one: matter and space are equal. The material she uses originates from an architectural context: sheetrock, form-work panels, shuttering plywood and are here re-used in order to produce new ensembles.
