The summer exhibition at Galerie Nordenhake brings together sketch material and documentation from major public commissions made by the gallery artists. Presenting material from the studio - notes, drawings, tests, measurements, site documentation, and so forth - the exhibition seeks to reveal the variation in approach and dedicated focus in the process, from brief to completion, of complex, large-scale commissions in the public realm.

The exhibition presents materials and background on Miroslaw Balka’s Estonia Monument, located on Djurgården in Stockholm, Sweden, 1997, Jonas Dahlberg’s Memory Wound, for the July 22 Memorial Sites, Norway (partial completion planned July 2016), Ann Edholm’s Dialogos, for the ECOSOC Chamber, UN Headquarters, New York, 2013, Spencer Finch’s The River That Flows Both Ways, the Highline park, New York, 2009 and Kirstin Ortwed’s Wallenberg monument, Monument to R. W. located in central Stockholm, 2001.

Artworks by each artist are also exhibited in an adjacent presentation.
