Cecilia Edefalk
Cecilia Edefalk was born in 1954 in Norrköping, Sweden. She lives and works in Stockholm. She has a degree from The Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts and Konstfack in Stockholm
In 2020 an extensive retrospective of Edefalk’s work was presented at Norrköpings Konstmuseum, Norrköping, Sweden. A significant presentation of her work is currently presented at Moderna Museet, Stockholm as part of the ongoing Maurizio Cattelan exhibition. Recent solo exhibitions include, Fürstenberg Zeitgenössisch, Fürstenbergische Sammlungen, Donaueschingen, Germany (2024) and Hatt et Söner, Bergeres-Les Vertus, Champagne, France (2023), Lund Cathedral, Lund, Sweden (2022), Agueli Museet, Sala, Sweden (2021), and Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde, Stockholm, Sweden and Kunstmuseum Bremerhaven, Bremerhaven, Germany (2016). Also in 2016 she exhibited solo at the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, Berkeley, California, USA.

Kunsthalle Bern, Bern, Switzerland (1998), Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, USA (1996).
Cecilia Edefalk has participated in Documenta 11, Kassel (2002) and the 22nd Bienal de São Paulo (1994). Her work can be found in collections of The Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, USA; Moderna Museet, Stockholm; Göteborgs Konstmuseum, Gothenburg, Sweden; Norrköpings Konstmuseum, Norrköping, Sweden and the Nordic Watercolour Museum, Skärhamn, Sweden. She received the prestigious Ganneviksstipendiet in 2018.
